Learn about the Kiwanis family and how Kiwanis-family members can work together to support Kiwanis Kids programs
Kiwanians around the globe have one common goal: To serve the children of the world. Kiwanis advocates this vision every day by providing opportunities to serve for every member of a community through Service Leadership Programs. Through these opportunities, youth and young adults around the world become competent, capable and compassionate leaders.
Builders Club is the largest community-service program for junior and middle school students worldwide. Its goal is to develop leadership qualities in young people through experiences in volunteer service.
Key Club International is the high school organization sponsored by Kiwanis International. Key Club assists Kiwanis in carrying out its mission to serve the children of the world. High school student members of Key Club perform acts of service in their communities, such as cleaning up parks, collecting clothing and organizing food drives. They also learn leadership skills by running meetings, planning projects and holding elected leadership positions at the club, district and international levels. Key Club can co-sponsor a Kiwanis Kids program along with a sponsoring Kiwanis club
Kiwanis Kids is the fastest growing service club for elementary students, comprising of K-Kids, Terrific Kids, and Bring Up Grades. Kiwanis Kids is a student-led community service organization that operates under school regulations and draws its members from the student body. Terrific Kids is a character education and recognition program, while Bring Up Grades focuses on academic achievement and recognition.
More than 9,000 adults with disabilities around the world are involved in this Kiwanis-family program, developing leadership skills while working with others to help those in need. Their projects range from fundraising for Sleeping Children Around the World (SCAW) to recycling drives to cleaning up parks. Aktion Club empowers members to be themselves, work together with friends and implement plans through action.
